Once again, God worked a miracle for Mark to get on the plane to Indiana.
He got to the gate and the plane was full, with 13 people waiting on buddy passes. He was 12th in line.
A connecting flight was delayed and five of the people got on. Then the lady at the gate told him and the other seven that were left to stand to the side in order of priority. He was the seventh of eighth in that line.
Then she told them they had room for seven people left on the plane. PRAISE!
We are still planning on loading the truck next Thursday. We have decided to drive part way on Friday and get there in good time on Saturday, so that hopefully we can get some help unloading.
Please pray for Mark as he is figuring out where we will stay when we get there. We know that we will have to move twice--we'll rent until we buy a home, but we would really like to not have to move three times.
I have a big roll of bubble wrap in the living room, and am planning on beginning to wrap the rest of the pictures and dishes that we have left this week and the beginning of next week. I need to go to Publix and have them save me some more boxes.
I went to my last Mom's Night Out with the co-op moms tonight. This Thursday is our last co-op day. We clean church this week for the last time.
It is really weird to have such a full calendar for the next two weeks and then nothing after that...
One other thing we have to figure out is how to move our cat, Jake. He is a beautiful sweet cat and we really want to take him with us, but we don't know how you take a cat that far in a car??
Sorry these thoughts aren't in any particular order, (do blogposts have time stamps?), but I also am considering getting books, DVDs and CDs from the library here for the trip and then mailing them back...

Decision Time...
Well, it looks like we are going to be moving before the house sells. We are shooting for the first weekend of March. Not sure just yet where we'll be living when we get there, but Mark is working out the details on that end.
The couple that went through the house last Tuesday are still talking about it and their options, but we were disheartened when Mark emailed our realtor and asked her what a good offer would look like. The number she gave was quite a bit less than we have it listed for...
So anyway, it looks like we are stepping out in faith again.
This week is our winter break with co-op and that was hard for the kids who don't want to skip a week seeing their friends. And next week then will be our last week there.
Tomorrow, Mark's parents will be getting here in the evening and staying until Friday morning. They are on their way to Florida. They also plan to stop through on their way back, but are not sure exactly when that will be. It will be good to see them.
This weekend, Duane and Bonnie are coming. Minneapolis was scheduled to send a minister on the rotation. It will be nice to have them here once more before we move.
Then Sunday right after church, Atlanta church is planning a farewell for us. This Sunday will be our last Sunday in Atlanta because next weekend, we'll be in Indy for church.
We are driving to Athens to pick up Cassie Bertsch, Zach's sister. Then we are driving up to meet Zach and his family who are bringing Mark to meet us. We both have reservations at different hotels for the weekend and then will be going to church in Indy before coming back home.
Hope all this makes sense. I am tired and overwhelmed right now. Trying to remember what I'm not supposed to forget to remember not to forget...

They Loved It
Ana sent an email this afternoon saying that the couple who went through our house loved it. They requested her to give them more info by email after they left.
She is hoping for an offer from them...so are we.
The other couple isn't sure this is the right area for them, so she said they have some more discussing to do before they would want a showing at our house.
Mark is alone at Zach & Jenny's house tonight because Jenny went out to Ohio with the children. She as something going on on Thursday that she didn't want to miss, so she left yesterday already. Zach works in Bluffton and decided to just stay at his parent's house tonight because the weather is so bad.
Mark had to shovel the driveway when he got home tonight to get his truck parked.
It has been rainy here, but not too cold.
Please know how much it means when you tell us you are praying for us. It helps us feel God's nearness and peace while it's hard to be apart.

PS. Tonight, I was working with Miranda on her science trying to explain measuring volume.
"Volume is found by multiplying base x height x width. You could measure this book--the bottom, up the side and how thick it is--and you would show the answer in cubic inches."
Miranda's eyes lit up and she asked, "Oh, is that why they call a book a volume?"
Sure, that works for me. I'm an English major. (We need you, honey.)

A Seat and A Showing
Mark's flight out today was at 5:45 to Indy. Peggy Camp had sent him the flight info and it wasn't looking good. It is the day after the Superbowl and Indy had played so lots of people were flying back there. There were only supposed to be three seats extra and Mark was number four. We were just hoping that if he didn't get on that flight, he could at least get on one of the other flights out tonight.
But not only did he get a seat, he was put in first class!
And that was really nice because when they landed, he was able to get right off the plane without having to wait so that he could get on the road to Leo.
Right after Mark's plane took off, our realtor called and said we have a showing for10:15 tomorrow morning. And she has another interested that might be in the evening or on Wednesday morning.
We pray that one of these will be the buyer we are looking for.

Okay, and the news, albeit little (albeit? does that look a little German or something?) is this:
Ana, our realtor wrote me a short email and said that our house has had 12 hits, and two email requests for info on it. She said that on her website, that is the most hits of any house this last week. The official day it was listed was Jan 20, so it hasn't really been that long yet, it just feels like it.

Today, Rachel and Luke were trying to remember the three things that GA is famous for that all start with the letter "P."
They came up with the correct three--peaches, peanuts and pecans, and then Luke said, "Coke should be in that list, but I can't think of a "P" word for it."
Rachel said, "Pepsi!"

Last Weekend and Stuff
Last weekend, we went up to Indiana with Philip, Lana, and their five kids in their 12 passenger van. We had every seat full with me and our four kids. We drove 11 hours up there, with only two stops and everyone did really well.
We stayed at Zach & Jenny's while Philip & Lana stayed with Philip's sister, Joy and Jason Kilgus, who live in Leo. They had been houseparents and were both from Fairbury.
It was so good to see Mark again. We drove around Leo and the surrounding area all afternoon on Saturday, looking at houses and learning our way around. There are houses for sale, but it seems like they are a lot more than we want or a lot less. I have been doing a little research and have found out that the housing market in the Atlanta area has been a lot harder hit than in Indiana.
Saturday evening, we picked up Chinese food after Zach called in the order. The restaurant had changed names since they had last gotten food from there, but we enjoyed the food!
Sunday was really nice, because now we saw a few familar faces, and many of those that had been gone the first Sunday we were there were home. We read in John 14 which just happens to be my favorite chapter. :) Last time we were there, we read Psalm 103, which is one of my very favorite psalms. :)
